We always start with a theme of the week. With this, we tell you about our own experiences in Japan and what is being taught in textbooks versus real life. We end the lessons with Japanese games or conversations as we progress with the lessons.

The course is created in such a way that complete beginners are able to comprehend everything. We do the grammar explanations from A-Z, this means that complete beginners will also fully understand everything. As long as you are interested in Japanese, it will be fine!

What separates Kotatsu from other institutes is that we make sure that you get classes from a non-native speaker, as these people know the struggles. But will also invite our Japanese friends and senseis so that you can be fully prepared when you go to Japan.

As soon as you signed up you will receive an e-mail with a payment confirmation. You will be provided with acces to the online course, this way you can start immediately with learning Japanese.

The average course at other institutes costs on average €490 for 20 lessons. At Kotatsu, you don't only get the live group lessons valued at €447, but also our complete only course valued at  €297. You receive a course valued at €744 just for €397! Our purpose is to make it possible for everyone to learn Japanese. For this reason, we are keeping the fees as long as possible.

Nobody likes doing homework, but to really understand the langauge, we recommend spending 1-3 hours per week on homework. The online video's provide you with an excellent learning tool.

You can pay everything at once or with a payment plan up to 5 periods of payments. Each period is one month.
